Usually the beads are small glass rings that are sewn onto the fabric. It is used as an independent technique and in combination with other embroidery techniques.
Widespread beaded embroidery on the clothes received in the late 18th century to decorate the expensive clothes and accessories.
Now many samples of the work of masters of that time took places in museums. Often beads were used for embroidery of paintings.
But this is also a very laborious kind of creativity. Complicated drawings can consist of many thousands of beads. Manual sewing of beads takes a lot of time and requires accuracy and patience.
In the 21st century, beadwork again became fashionable. Computers came to the aid of the artist. Now the routine work is done by the embroidery machine, and the designer devotes more time to the pattern.
With the help of beads, you can give the item of clothing a very expensive and solid look. And if in the old days it was available only to selected individuals, nowadays machine beadwork may well be used for casual wear.
